Atlantis The Palm has been in my bucket list of places I’d want to go to. Just the ring of it already excites me and makes me wonder what luxury staycation do they offer. As an average person living in the UAE, it is always a dream or an out of reach staycation destination. But this year, I’ve manage and had the opportunity to experience this one of a kind staycation!
It took me a bit to decide if I would really splurge on this staycation, but I said, ‘hey, why not, while I’m still here and while I still can’. So I’ve spent a little bit of time checking the rates from the main Atlantis the palm website and other online booking agencies like dnatatravel.com. During the time I was booking, I found it cheaper to book in dnata for an Imperial Club Room so I went ahead and booked it there. So I booked it like two weeks before the actual check in date.
I really got excited for the staycation and planned the things we will do on the actual day. I’ve read anything I can so I can maximize our stay in the hotel. I have discovered that on the day of your check in, you can arrive at the hotel as early as 10:00am and enjoy your day pass at the Aquaventure Waterpark. So we prepared early and reached the hotel at past 11:00am. We were lucky enough that they’ve let us do the check in early and they have given us a room upgrade too! We booked an Imperial King Room and we got the Imperial Queen Room! They’ve also let us have some snacks at the Imperial Club Lounge before we actually head on to our room.
We head up to our room to leave our things so we can enjoy the complimentary Aquaventure access. Our room was very spacious and we had two queen beds. The room has a spacious bathroom too. We had the palm view, the full palm is not very visible but just the Atlantis’ amenities is still a great view! I’d be gladly sharing with you the full room tour on my YT channel.
The Aquaventure Experience
Aquaventure waterpark tickets comes as complementary when you book a room at the Atlantis The Palm. We head on to tour the waterpark as part of our experience.
These are just some of the slides you can enjoy while visiting the aqua park. We enjoyed the few slides that we can. After which we returned to our room to freshen up for the Happy Hour!
Happy Hour At the Imperial Club Beach
Part of the Imperial Club Package is the Happy Hour, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. We really allotted time for this , we’ll, because we wanted to drink! Lol You can enjoy the Happy Hour at the Club Lounge or at the Imperial Club Beach. We went to the beach because wine and beach is (heart). The weather is really nice so we just enjoyed the outdoors.
The bar selection for the Happy Hour has some good options. So after a few glasses and few stories, we were done. We did a short visit at the Lost Chambers Aquarium but we were a little drunk to appreciate it to be honest. So we decided to visit it again the following day.
