I’ve always love sunsets and desert sunsets are always the best! I had sometime admiring the beautiful desert sunset yesterday as we go on a Desert Safari Adventure. This time of the year is the perfect time to go on outdoor activities as the weather is very permitting. I love the cold wind on the desert.
We took on a Desert Safari Package that picked us up at Mazyad Mall, Mussafah. They can also pick up at Al Al Wahda Mall in Abu Dhabi City. There were about 20 people in a coaster that went to Al Ain Al Faqah Desert Camp. We arrived at the camp around 4:00pm.
We went on to take a short camel ride which is a fun experience. The camel almost dropped me when he bent his knees to let us get down! But that was really funny, you really have to hold tight so you wont fall!
We also had some dune bashing which is crazy! We rode a 4×4 car and they took us in the dips and ups of the sand dunes! It is very amusing. It’s like having a mini roller coaster ride in the desert sands! But of course, a roller coaster is a whole different level of excitement.
Sand Dune Bashing at Al Faqah Desert Camp Al Ain
After the camel ride and dune bashing, we still had a lot of time before the evening entertainment show begin, so we went to some sand dunes to capture the beauty of the desert and the sunset more! Below are some photos I took!
When the sunsets, we proceed to the camp area and waited for the entertainment show to start. There’s a Tanoura show, fire dancing, and belly dancing. The performances were a bit short but still entertaining.
Then we had their BBQ dinner which have choices of salad, pastas, curries and the chicken BBQ. The dinner was self service expect for the BBQ and fillet which they’ll just give you a portion. The tea, water and soft drinks are self service too.
We head back home at around 8:20pm and reached back Mazyad Mall at 10:00pm. Overall, the experience was great and a value for what we have paid for. Desert Safari is really a must experience for anyone visiting Abu Dhabi or Dubai, UAE!
